Resonance Is Not Identity

Some historical material produces a response far stronger than ordinary interest. A name feels familiar. An image lands in the body. A life seems to echo concerns already present.

The House does not ridicule that experience. It also does not promote it automatically to historical proof.

Seven Steps of Discipline

Preserve what happened before research. Record what was learned afterward. Identify what evidence would weaken the preferred interpretation. Keep direct history separate from symbolic parallel. Label the metaphysical conclusion as hypothesis. Ask what responsibility remains if the identity claim is false. Let the present life carry the work.

A name can open an inquiry. It cannot close the case.
